Fascinated with the idea of temporal and ever-changing states, my work as an abstract painter is to capture subtle moments and translate them into a forever keepsake. My appreciation for being present and practicing this particular state of mind feeds my work as an artist.
By appreciating delicate moments such as the shifting shades of shadows, to the swaying motion of wheat fields during a gentle breeze, my work captures the abstracted beauty of the everyday.
Removing conceptual restrictions, I use travelling opportunities to gain inspiration where I draw a great interest in absorbing organic qualities found in human-made landscapes. Working with earthy tones and layering of textural mediums such as rice paper and clay, my artwork creates a balance of structural details in soft, dreamlike settings.
